Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!

National Tooth Fairy Day is celebrated twice annually to remind children of the importance of healthy teeth. As dental hygienists, part of our job is educating our youngest patients that good oral care can go a long way and it is best to start healthy habits early on. Educating our patients’ parents is equally important. It’s often not enough to tell your child to “go brush your teeth.” Checking the child’s brushing technique is good practice and necessary to avoid caries. Here is some great tips to provide parents on how to check their child’s teeth and a printable coloring page of the tooth fairy for the kids to enjoy!
