This past weekend, I represented Austin at the TDHA Fall Board Meeting. We continued working towards accomplishing our strategic plan of providing more resources to the general public about what a hygienist does and to hygienists and how they can help lift each other up and work collaboratively for improved professional development.

National Dental Hygiene Month

This month, we will have a social media campaign and raffle to reward a few lucky hygienists! Aerosol Assist will be giving away 3 HVE kits and Ambience will be giving away 3 loop shields. Follow on social media to learn more about the raffles and how to enter.
We also have a few public-facing videos debuting this month that explain what a hygienist does. If you have 30 seconds and a smartphone, please record yourself giving us a quick tidbit about what a hygienist does – what YOU do – and what it means to you to be a dental hygienist. Be creative, you don’t have to follow a script. Some questions to think about: What is your favorite part about being a hygienist? Why did you choose this field? Why are you a member? What would you like all your patients to know about what a hygienist does? Finished? Send your videos to greateraustindha@gmail.com.
