Speakers and Course Details:

Olga A. C Ibsen, RDH, MS, FAADH is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT and formerly an Adjunct Professor at New York University College of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology and Medicine. She has made significant contribution to the Dental Hygiene Profession as an educator, clinician, author and editor. Olga has played a significant role in the clinical practice of dental hygiene for over 35 years. She co-authored the textbook “oral Pathology for the Dental Hygienist” published by Elsevier (now in its 7th Edition). Ms. Ibsen is an contributing author to all eight editions of Mosby’s Comprehensive Review of Dental Hygiene and to Mosby’s Review Question for the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination. She presents Ce Courses on Oral Pathology and dental and dental hygiene meetings nationally and internationally. She is a Consultant Member to the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (formerly NERB) where she prepares and evaluates test questions. Additionally, she serves on the editorial advisory board for “dimensions of Dental Hygiene.” In 2016, she received The Award for Excellence in Dental Hygiene from the ADHA and in 2017 the Esther Wilkins Lifetime Achievement Award from Dimensions of Dental Hygiene.

Mary Hughes, RDH, BS is a Dental Education Partners CEO, Founder, and Instructor. Her passion for dentistry, training, and helping individuals achieve their full potential is a hallmark of her career and the founding of Dental Education Partners. Mary has always brought a passion to deliver the highest standard of periodontal care for patients. She began her career as a Registered Dental Assistant and fell in love with dentistry, continuing her education as a clinical dental hygienist after graduating from the State University of New York with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. Mary became an expert in staff training and effective patient communication coaching methods, which tripled daily hygiene production for the office and operatories of colleagues she also coached. As a natural educator, her career transitioned to corporate dentistry to professionally consult with dental offices, emphasizing comprehensive treatment and increasing treatment enrollment. Mary was promoted to roles including International Training Manger, Senior Director of North American Sales, and Senior Director of Professional Relations. Mary has the unique credential of being certified as a Professional Selling Skills Trainer by Achieve Global. She is a member of the ADHA and has been published in peer reviewed dental journals. Mary joined Tralongo as Vice President of Clinical Growth and is dedicated to serving the organization to achieve excellence and maximize growth opportunities.

andrea wisemanSpeaker Andrea Wiseman, RDH

Andrea S. Wiseman, RDH is a Preventative Consultant Specialist for Elevate Oral Care, and brings over 30 years of experience in dentistry to her presentations. Andrea has been a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association since 1995, as well, Texas Dental Hygiene Association, and past president of the San Antonio District Dental Hygiene Association and Gulf Coast Dental Hygiene Society of Ft. Myers, FL. She is a mentor to all oral healthcare providers and an advocate against oral diseases. Her presentations have included venues at Yankee Dental Association Meeting (2013), Seattle Study Clubs, Dental Hygiene Association State Meetings, Dental Association State Meetings, and large group dental practices, providing C.E. credits on the Power of Prevention. Andrea started her speaking career with Omni Oral Pharmaceuticals in 2002 and became a National Prevention Specialist with 3M Oral Care in 2006 to 2017. She has been an instructor at Austin Community College Dental Assisting Program, and has educated students at dental assisting schools, dental hygiene colleges, and dental colleges across the country on the current standards of care and technologies in dentistry.

Speakers ACC Dental Hygiene c/o 2020

Join us as we hear the Student Community Project Presentations from the second year ACC Dental Hygiene students. These community projects span 2 semesters and we always learn so much from these students and the work they’re doing. They are set to graduate the following week, so the energy is always electric and a good time is had all around. This is the third year we have had these seniors present our May CE and are grateful for our continued relationship.
