Rita Snodell, MEd, RDH

Rita Snodell was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She earned an Associate of Applied Science
degree in Dental Hygiene from Del Mar College in 1988, where she served as a student
delegate. Rita holds both a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science degree and a Master’s degree
in Education from Texas State University. She has professional experience practicing clinical
dental hygiene in Houston, Austin, Texas, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Since 1999, Rita has
been a resident of Austin, Texas. She is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Dental
Hygiene at Austin Community College.
Rita is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), the Texas
Dental Hygiene Association (TDHA), and the Greater Austin Dental Hygiene Association. She is
committed to community service and volunteers with organizations such as the Capital Area
Dental Foundation (CADF), Hill Country Smiles, and Agape Community Dental Clinic.
In her personal time, Rita enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her daughter in Dallas
and her son in Austin, Texas. Her hobbies include baking, canning jams, and engaging in paper
crafts.
